Our Board Members
Ray Rose – Chairman
Ray has over 20 years experience in the educational industry and has held numerous leadership roles in schools in metropolitan and rural areas in Western Australia across different educational sectors, ranging from classroom teacher to school Principal.
He holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Education. Ray has a vast network of colleagues in both the public and private educational industries, a majority of these networks are with leaders in educational institutions and systems both locally and nationally.
He has a vast knowledge of educational resources, services and products and has connections to many educational companies which currently service many schools.
Theodore Hasslacher – Deputy Chairman
Theodore has been in the technology industry for over 25 years ranging from retail to enterprise, corporate, education, rural and mining sectors. He has worked in different areas of the technology industry ranging from telecommunications to IT infrastructures.
His experience has been in the private and public sectors locally and nationally. As a result, he has built a vast network of associates and peers which he works closely with.
A majority of these people are leaders and innovators in their fields, which has allowed him to keep himself updated with the ever-changing landscape (Technology).
Renee – Treasurer
Renee is an award-winning producer of factual entertainment and documentary screen content.
Among some of her works, Renee produced the documentary The Silent Epidemic for SBS, exploring the science of self-injurious behaviour, winning the 2011 ATOM Award for Best Documentary – Science, Technology and the Environment. She also produced Constructing Australia: The Bridge for the ABC, a dramatised documentary celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, winning the 2008 Logie Award for Best Documentary, the 2007 Grenfell Award and a 2007 Australian Writers’ Guild (AWGIE) Award for writer / director Simon Nasht.
Renee oversaw a diverse range of programming in her previous roles as supervisor of production at Beyond Screen Production, supervisor of production at ScreenWorld and as a line producer at Essential Media and Becker Entertainment.
Renee is member of Screen Producers Australia, Screen Voice and the Australian Writer’s Guild and she was the former Chair of Screen Voice.
Calvin Wong – Secretary
Calvin is one of the founding Directors at Troppus ICT & Management with over 20 years of ICT industry experience across all sectors ranging from retail, finance, medical to mining both locally and nationally.
Calvin has a Bachelor Degree of Computer System Engineering, and started his journey in IT Retail, moving onto IT Wholesale, then progressing to Network Administration and then to ICT Manager before starting Troppus.
He has a solid background in ICT Managed Service, ICT Consulting and Custom Application development from SMB to Enterprise.
Imants Kins – Board Member
Mr Imants Kins is an economist with a Master’s degree in Future studies. He has extensive experience at a senior level in both the Government (1972 – 1986) and in the private sector (1986- present) as a senior manager, corporate economist and Executive and Non Executive Director of ASX listed, public unlisted companies and Associations, like Australians for Northern Australia and Economic Vision.
